Why Our Minimum Order Is Just 5 Cartons

Ask around in wholesale footwear, and you'll find most suppliers expect a serious minimum order before they'll even talk to you - often 100 cartons or more, sometimes tied to a full container. That works fine if you're already running a large operation. It's a real barrier if you're not.

We set our minimum at 5 cartons. Not as a marketing gimmick - because of where we started ourselves.

We were buyers before we were a supplier

Footwear has been the family trade for years, first in India, before we brought that experience to Dubai. Long before BOLF existed, we were on the other side of this exact transaction - trying to get a supplier to take a smaller order seriously, and mostly getting told no, or getting quoted a minimum that made no sense for the size we were actually operating at.

That memory is the entire reason 5 cartons is where we start. We built the kind of supplier relationship we wished we'd had access to back then.

What 5 cartons actually gets you

To be clear about what this means in practice: it's not "5 cartons of one specific model." It's 5 cartons total, and you can mix models, categories, and colours across that order however makes sense for your shop. Want 2 cartons of one sneaker, 2 of a sandal, and 1 of a loafer? That's a completely normal order for us.

This matters because it means you can actually test a few different things at once, instead of being forced to commit heavily to just one model before you know if it'll sell.

Then what happens as you grow?

The 5-carton minimum is the door in, not the ceiling. Once you're ordering 100+ cartons, you unlock discounted carton pricing - so there's a real, direct benefit to scaling up with us as your shop grows, not just a bigger bill for the same margin.

In other words: we're not trying to keep you small. We're just refusing to make "small" a dealbreaker at the start.

Who this is actually for

• A shop testing wholesale sourcing for the first time - low-risk way to see how it actually works before committing bigger.
